REQUIREMENTS


To apply for a Deputy Sheriff Trainee position, the following is required:

• Be at least 19½ years old to apply / no age maximum
• A U.S. citizen or eligible resident alien awaiting citizenship application decision
• Graduation from a U.S. high school or evidence of equivalent U.S. high school proficiency or higher education.
• Valid San Andreas driver’s license
• Be in good physical condition and free from any medical conditions that would interfere with the responsibilities of a Deputy Sheriff
• No felony convictions or currently on probation; misdemeanors may be disqualifying, depending on the number, type of violation, and date of the violation

Additionally, a successful candidate will have these attributes to become a Deputy Sheriff:

• Possess and demonstrate integrity
• Demonstrated ability to use good judgment and problem solving
• Capacity for empathy and compassion
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to demonstrate courage and to take responsibility
• Ability to be resourceful and show initiative
• Demonstrating assertiveness
• Ability to work in a team environment

By submitting an application, you agree to the following conditions and statements:

• You may be removed from the hiring process at any time and for any reason deemed suitable by TB Command.
• You may be subject to waiting periods in character and they may apply out of character as well.
• Your overall administrative record and/or community image may be taken into consideration during the recruitment process
Note that in the cases of server bans, you are required to wait at least 2 months after the date of unbanning in order to be eligible to apply, however, this is judged on a case-by-case basis.
• You affirm that you have your forum name changed to a Firstname Lastname format.
• You affirm that you have a fluent grasp of the English language, in text and voice.
• You affirm that you understand that the faction attempts to portray the real-life Los Angeles Sheriff's Department.
• You affirm that you are able to portray a developed and realistic character.
• You affirm that you have not and will not do any of the following:
  • Hiding characters or UCP names,
  • Hiding past or current characters, or forum profiles,
  • Hiding administrative records, or providing outdated ones,
  • Hiding past history or denials with the Los Santos County Sheriff's Department, or
  • Hiding double faction rule violations.

THE APPLICATION PROCESS


Application Process

To make sure we’re getting the best applicants you must pass a number of exams and screenings. The full process to become a Deputy Sheriff (Probationary) can be shorter or longer, depending on the applicant.


Your path to success starts here:

1. Complete and submit an online application.
2. You will be assigned a Background Investigator, who will conduct a thorough background investigation.
3. Take the Multiple Choice exam consisting of Multiple Choice answers. If you receive a passing score, you immediately advance to take the Validated Physical Ability Test.
4. Take the Validated Physical Ability Test (VPAT). (( NPC ))
5. Complete the Structured Interview.
6. Schedule and complete a patrol station ride-along. Further information about the ride-along program can be found here. (Optional)
7. Complete a medical examination, to evaluate your physical ability to perform the duties of a Deputy Sheriff. (( NPC ))
8. Assigned to an Academy. (( NPC ))
9. Complete the final examination assessing your theoretical and practical knowledge of Law Enforcement.
