Instructions to the Applicant

The information you provide in this Application will be used in the background investigation to assist in determining your suitability for the position of San Andreas Peace Officer, in accordance with POST.
  • It is your responsibility to complete this form and provide all required information.
  • This document must be filled out electronically and printed.
  • You must respond to all items and questions. Check applicable boxes with an "X". If a question does not apply to you, write “D.N.A” (does not apply) in the space provided for your response.
  • By submitting this form, you affirm that you have read and understood the Essential Job Functions and Selection Requirements of the position applied for.
  • (( Preview your application before submitting it to make sure that all the BBCode works properly. If it does not, use the blank application format as a guidance tool to fix it. Try to avoid touching the BBCode and only fill out text answers, and that way it will not break. ))
Disqualification

There are very few automatic bases for rejection. Even issues of prior misconduct, such as prior illegal drug use, driving under the influence, theft, or even arrest or conviction are usually not, in and of themselves, automatically disqualifying. However, deliberate misstatements or omissions can and often will result in your application being rejected, regardless of the nature or reason for the misstatements/omissions. In fact, the number one reason individuals “fail” background investigations is because they deliberately withhold or misrepresent job-relevant information from their prospective employer.

BOTTOM LINE: You are responsible for providing complete, accurate, and truthful responses.

Spoiler: show
Jeremiah Fletcher, a 26-year-old African-American man, was born and raised in the lively and diverse city of Los Santos. Growing up in the southern district, Jeremiah was no stranger to the challenges that came with life in a neighborhood often neglected by the system. His father, Kevin Fletcher, a Canadian immigrant, was a dedicated worker who managed a small Mechanic garage near the neighborhood's edge. His mother, Lorraine, was a hairdresser at the local hair saloon. Together, they raised Jeremiah, thier one and only son, instilling in him the importance of perseverance, honesty, and a deep connection to their community.

Jeremiah’s upbringing was a rich blend of cultures. From his father, he learned the discipline and resilience tied to his Canadian heritage, while his mother taught him empathy and care—virtues she demonstrated in her daily work as a hairdresser. This unique combination of values formed the core of Jeremiah's character, molding him into a man driven by responsibility, integrity, and a desire to contribute positively to the world around him.

Jeremiah’s decision to join the Los Santos County Sheriff's Department was deeply personal. Growing up, he had seen firsthand the mistrust and tension between law enforcement and his community. He witnessed friends and neighbors being mistreated, but he also saw the devastating impact of crime and violence on the streets he called home. Jeremiah knew that trust between law enforcement and the community was fragile, but he was convinced that it was vital for creating a safer, more equitable society. Jeremiah's main motivation for joining the LSSD was his desire to become a catalyst for change within the system. He believed that by becoming an officer, he could bridge the gap between law enforcement and the people, building mutual respect and understanding. Jeremiah aspired to be an officer who not only upheld the law but also acted as a mentor and role model for the younger generation, many of whom were navigating the same struggles he had faced growing up.

Jeremiah is level-headed and composed under pressure—qualities he honed both on the basketball court and in his academic life. As a natural moralist and positivity bringer, Jeremiah is someone others turn to for guidance and trust. His mixed heritage has gifted him with a broad perspective, allowing him to be open-minded and adaptable in the face of challenges.
