Disqualification

There are very few automatic bases for rejection. Even issues of prior misconduct, such as prior illegal drug use, driving under the influence, theft, or even arrest or conviction are usually not, in and of themselves, automatically disqualifying. However, deliberate misstatements or omissions can and often will result in your application being rejected, regardless of the nature or reason for the misstatements/omissions. In fact, the number one reason individuals “fail” background investigations is because they deliberately withhold or misrepresent job-relevant information from their prospective employer.

BOTTOM LINE: You are responsible for providing complete, accurate, and truthful responses.

Spoiler: show
Aaron Fernandes was born into a family that stood for service, growing up in a multicultural home where his mother was an outgoing Brazilian diplomat and his father was an Israeli-born former Mossad-operative who instilled in him strong character and discipline. His childhood fell between two worlds: one where international politics and diplomacy were in control, the other where military might spoke the loudest word. From a very young age, Aaron showed talent in languages-the fluency he possessed in Hebrew, Spanish, and French alike was really something else. Of course, these skills were not only a product of his upbringing but an instrument of his own ambition. His father-a Mossad operative early on in his life-schooled Aaron in covert operations, national security, and the moral burdens of power. The balance comes from his mother's view of justice, more diplomatic and multi-variegated. Military service in the USMC solidified his tactical leadership as he served as an Infantry Major able to handle high-level missions and lead infantry units into methodical, strategic victories. These skills, acquired while serving as an Infantry Major, would include the ability to make correct, swift decisions in high-pressure situations, threats appraisals effectively, and discipline within his teams-all relevant to later law enforcement leadership.

After retiring from USMC service, Aaron joined civilian law enforcement with the Code Enforcement Bureau, CED, under the auspices of the State Government of San Andreas, where he was responsible for building codes, zoning laws, and state regulations. While time in the military taught him how to handle chaotic environments, the work with CED gave him an idea about the inner-workings of a local government and exactly how dicey it could get trying to keep order in a sprawling city like Los Santos. Still, Aaron yearned for something more direct in his line, something where he could get hands-on with crime and watch the backs of civilians. This drive led him to the Los Santos County Sheriff's Department, where he hopes to apply his leadership, tactical skills, and strategic thinking to restore order in a city infested with crime and corruption. poignantly, this is explained: his drive for motivation, stemming from an inner urge to introduce integrity and structure into a wrecked system, will be met when he becomes a part of the LSCSD and it will pay him back by reinforcing discipline and accountability. Aaron has the demeanor under pressure, big-picture look, and commitment to service that positions him to be a leader able to earnestly affect change in Los Santos through protecting its citizens and bringing criminals and corrupt officials to justice.
