The Los Santos County Sheriff’s Department is excited to announce the upcoming launch of Operation Street Ties, a one-day community outreach initiative set to take place in the Crenshaw and Jefferson neighborhoods, within the basketball courts in Washington Street.

Organized by the West Vinewood Sheriff's Station, Operation Street Ties is designed to bring deputies and residents together through a variety of family-friendly events that prioritize connection, trust, and mutual respect. From shared meals and recreational sports to creative showcases and resource booths, this initiative puts community presence above enforcement, thus placing deputies in roles focused on dialogue, approachability, and public service.

Children can look forward to interactive activities and educational giveaways, while adults will have access to valuable information on employment opportunities, legal aid, and public resources. The event also aims to strengthen ties with local leaders, families, and youth, creating space for open conversations, shared experiences, and deeper understanding.

Deputies and Sheriff’s personnel will work hand in hand with community members, not only to show up, but to listen, learn, and lead with empathy.

Operation Street Ties is a reflection of the Department’s mission of service and its belief that lasting public safety starts with relationships, not just response. With future initiatives already in the works, the Los Santos County Sheriff’s Department looks forward to continuing its role not just as a presence, but as a true partner in the neighborhoods we serve.
