MESSAGE FROM THE SHERIFF
![]() |
We're now just over three weeks since the official launch of LS-RP on SA-MP again.
I'm pleased to say it's mostly been a success. Yes there has been bumps in the road with the server, mainly due to the demand and popularity. If you had read the recent community update, there has been over 15,000 reports and over 20,000 helpmes. This reflects on the amount of new players we've seen join the server. Now this in itself does bring some issues and ultimately we suffer because of it.
I'm mainly speaking on the trolls, the constant shit fest in Idlewood and surrounding "noob" areas, while I appreciate this may demotivate people into thinking this is no longer a heavy roleplay server, I'm here to say it is. The LS-RP Administration team is working hard to try and educate players rather than punishing them, and sometimes players choose to ignore and continue.
Over the next few weeks it'll calm and return to how it used to be and it'll be a more enjoyable experience for us all. We just need to trust the process. Over the next coming day I'm going to be working with Executive and Command Staff to start rebuilding passive roleplay between our stations and throughout our faction as a whole, this is something that hasn't really been focused on in the past and it is heavily missed. So keep your eyes opened for that.
Once again, I can only thank all of you for your continued presence in-game and making this faction feel alive again, especially in a server we all came from, it's a real tear jerker to see.
If you've any questions, concerns or anything please reach out to me.

(( FACTION UPDATES ))
This is undoubtedly the biggest faction update we've had in the past several years, so buckle up and get ready.
The biggest faction update for the month of May is the return of SAMP. Over the past month, we've been working hard to ensure the faction runs as smoothly as possible. This includes every division, bureau, and detail command members putting in countless hours to assist with the revival and transition back to SAMP. It has been challenging for everyone to reintroduce SAMP after such a long time, but as a faction, we've done exceptionally well during this adjustment period. With the revival of SAMP, we have had 70+ reinstatement requests with more on the way. In recruitment, we also have 70+ amount of applications. We did not expect such a big interest, but have definitely been keeping up with putting hours into the faction.
As previously mentioned, we moved the Detective Division into Station Detectives. We will be making minor tweaks as we go, which are mainly internal for them. This decision was made to help bring more faction members around stations to generate more station roleplay for everyone. We thank everyone who is currently involved or has been involved in this transition over the past month. For individual's interested in becoming apart of station detectives, please submit your interest to your station command. This applies for OSSB/OSS as well to ELS.
We have been and will continue to monitor activity throughout the faction, including Supervisory, Command, and even Executive Staff. It would not be fair for individuals to hold positions where they are not active. It is important that everyone pulls their own weight and meets activity requirements. All faction members are typically expected to have an average activity of at least 1.0 hour per month. If anyone is having issues meeting activity requirements, it is important to inform your chain of command and post an absence report.
We've reviewed all of the feedback forms submitted. Overall, everyone is enjoying the experience and gameplay once more. There are a few subjects that were repeatedly brought up by multiple individuals. One concern is outdated material, including the Manual of Policy & Procedure and the Sheriff's Reference Book. We will be updating these and creating a few cheat sheets for everyone to use. Only one or two people mentioned feeling they could not approach Supervisors and above. Please know that you are always welcome to approach anyone above you with any issues. At the end of the day, we all want to enjoy the game.
Recently, we introduced incentives for people who are part of Field Training and the Training Bureau. These incentives were already available for members of the Special Enforcement Bureau, Detective Assignments, Traffic Assignments, and others. Introducing this will ensure fairness for those working tirelessly to ensure the recruitment and training process for becoming a Deputy Sheriff in the faction, as they already are.
It is important for everyone to review the Legal Faction rules as we have seen a bit of it occurring. You can find that here. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this, you can approach anyone in Command or Executive Staff for further clarification if you need it.
