MONTHLY NEWSLETTER

INTRODUCTION

Hello everyone,

As we turn the page into a new month, I want to take a moment to truly recognize the extraordinary progress we've made, not just as a faction, but as a team committed to excellence on every front. If April was a month of growth, then May has been nothing short of a transformation.

In just four weeks, we’ve doubled our activity across the board. Our daily faction-wide average now surpasses 82 hours of in-game activity (41.77 hrs/day last month), a testament to the relentless energy and dedication each of you continues to bring. From steady patrols to high-quality scenes, your presence has been consistent, professional, and impactful.

We’ve welcomed over 35 new members this time, let it be through transfers, recruitment or even reinstatements, this month maintained a strong core of dependable players, and seen leadership take bold steps forward. Promotions, new initiatives, and continuous script and faction updates have kept the momentum alive and the standards high. This isn’t just growth, it’s evolution.

And as things move forward, we stay grounded in what brought us here: tradition. A tradition of service, of purpose, of getting the job done the right way, even when no one’s watching. That mindset continues to define who we are and how we operate, and it’s what sets us apart. So, every shift you log, every scene you handle, and every initiative you contribute to is building something bigger than just numbers. You're shaping a faction that's more responsive, more capable, and more unified than ever.

Take pride in these accomplishments, because they aren’t just statistics but the direct result of your time, your discipline, and your shared drive to make this faction something worth being part of. Thank you everyone.

Here’s to even more in the month ahead. Stay hungry, stay focused, and keep pushing forward. Long live the Sheriff's Department!

Best regards,
Chief Connor Hackett, Proxy

MESSAGE FROM THE SHERIFF

Image
Hello everyone,

With May coming to a close I'd like to mainly use this as a space to share how proud I am of the faction and the growth we've seen.

We've seen a large number of both long standing community members and new faces join us through our various recruitment programs. Our activity has dramatically increased and anyone who's in-game can see this huge change. I believe this is due to both the environment we foster within the faction and our active Command Staff. We all have real life obligations and we still make a considerable amount of time to handle not only the administrative side of the faction but also get in-game and roleplay with our faction members. This encourages the general faction to be active as well.

The effort so many people have put into this faction is astounding. From Deputies portraying the standards we want to Executive Staff consistently reconsidering policies based on active happenings. If there's one thing I aim for it's us to be proactive rather than reactive. This isn't always possible but I do believe we have a good foundation to do so.

We'll continue doing what we've been doing. As always we are open to suggestions, and grievances regarding the faction. My DMs are open and I'm a very communicable person. We can always continue to improve and we will continue to do so. Thank you for putting trust into the faction to potentially redefine the RP standards.

Regards,
Sheriff Michael Westboro - Karty

BUREAU UPDATES

CENTRAL PATROL DIVISION — WEST VINEWOOD STATION

May has been a month of steady progress and thoughtful recalibration for the West Vinewood Station and the wider Department. With recent shifts in priorities and ongoing internal initiatives, our station has shown great resilience and adaptability. I would like to take a moment to recognize the professionalism and dedication consistently demonstrated by our personnel — from deputies on patrol to the supervisors who keep things running behind the scenes. The collective effort put forth has been nothing short of commendable, and I’m confident in saying that WVS continues to set a strong example within the Department.

That said, excellence should never become a ceiling. Working closely with station command and senior staff, we’ve been exploring new ways to enrich the relationship between the community and civilians. This includes refining our approach to shift briefings, fostering meaningful day-to-day interactions, and creating engaging station-driven events that go beyond the usual call-for-service dynamic. These opportunities serve to strengthen camaraderie and create a more immersive environment for all involved.

Alongside this, internal reviews are ongoing to refine our procedures and shed any outdated or redundant policies. Simplifying these internal mechanics helps reduce unnecessary barriers, making the environment more fluid and accessible for everyone. For instance, a budget has been requested from the Office of the Sheriff for the Watch Deputy Assignment, which will enable building a better relationship between the field staff and supervisors.

As always, the most valuable input comes from those in the field. Our success as a station depends on your feedback, your initiative, and your willingness to engage. If there’s something you feel could be improved, altered, or celebrated — say so. This is a shared space, and our goal remains the same: to make this experience enjoyable, dynamic, and inclusive for everyone.

Stay sharp, stay involved — and above all, enjoy yourselves.

Respectfully,

— Captain Jennifer Maria LaGuerta
Unit Commander of the West Vinewood Sheriff's Station

DETECTIVE DIVISION — OPERATION SAFE STREETS BUREAU

In the past month Operation Safe Streets was faced by some striking challenges. A multitude of deputies resigned out of the bureau which affected the staffing and the devastating loss of Deputy Reshard Byrd by the hands of a local street gang. We're currently in the process of formulating legal actions after what happened to Deputy Byrd. The bureau mourns after the loss of a great Deputy that served with all he could offer during his time with the unit, an aspiring sergeant that never made it to his milestone.

Operation Safe Streets Bureau command also introduced that brand new GRID system to the department. The GRID system works on combining both patrol efforts and OSSB investigators in one place to further better the communications between both fields and enhance our intelligence as a whole. Field Deputies submit an array of reports on the GRID Database which is actively reviewed by OSSB Command and forwarded to investigators to follow up on. With that addition to the database, it's evident that more and more cases are to be cracked.

During multiple search warrant executions related to a murder case on Zendaya Vaughn handling OSS detectives found a large amount of untraced narcotics that could be up for sale in the victim's properties. The Bureau's still investigating the purpose and source of these narcotics, however they've been confiscated off the streets along with an array of handguns and firepower confiscated from gangs in the past month.

The Operation Safe Streets Bureau will continue to work on it's mission and follow it's vision for a better community free of unorganized crime and gangs.

Thank you,

ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES DIVISION — TRAINING BUREAU

During the month of May, the Training Bureau has done a tremendous work, dealing with a heavy load of applications, interviews and training offered to new Recruits. After such hard work, at the end of the month, applications for the Los Santos County Sheriff's Department were closed, to re-open later on, around mid-June. As it stands, for the month of May, twenty-four (24) applications were submitted and handled. From these applications, nineteen (19) candidates were approved, although only ten (10) applicants have so far managed to enroll in Sheriff's Academy and successfully complete it.

Another important change was made within the Training Bureau, where its positions now offer a Departmental-wide recognition and opportunity to move up the career ladder in bonus or supervisory assignments, giving its personnel the chance to advance in their career through administrative work.

Thank you,

— Captain Lucius Campbell
Unit Commander of the Training Bureau

ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES DIVISION — FIELD TRAINING PROGRAM

Hello,

The Field Training Program is probably one of the most important programs that the Los Santos County Sheriff's Department currently has. I'm confident that great people do greater stuff. Within the last month, a new administration team came in office. A very few modifications were done to the training process. These modifications are intended to provide the probationary deputies with a skillset adapted to the current needs. Starting with May 2025, Trainees received more freedom on conducting field activities even from the first phases of their training. They now have the opportunity to handle parking enforcement duties and partner-up in squad patrols.

The FTP Administration team is aware of the current count of the Field Training Officers and we're trying to make the program more welcoming for trainers. We are constantly looking to expand our team. Refer to your line-supervisor for more information.

Thank you,

— Captain Mateo Arbutus
Coordinator of the Field Training Program

ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES DIVISION —BASIC SERGEANT SUPERVISOR SCHOOL

The month of May has seen some minor changes to the way the entry into Basic Sergeant Supervisory School is dealt with. From now on, every Deputy wishing to progress to Sergeant, has to receive an endorsement from their Unit Commander, who will then forward their application to School Management. Only once this endorsement has been given, will a candidate be eligable for entry.

School is also undergoing some changes internally, all of which will be announced in due time.

Other than that, Supervisory School was open throughout May, with some applicants making it past, and are now underway with their Sergeant Training. We wish them the best of luck, and look forward to seeing their progression.

Thank you,

— Captain Jeffrey White
Coordinator of the Basic Sergeant Supervisory School

SPECIAL OPERATIONS DIVISION — HEADQUARTERS

As we close out another successful and rewarding month, I want to take a moment to recognize and commend the outstanding efforts of each and every Deputy within the Special Enforcement Bureau. Your unwavering dedication, professionalism, and ability to go above and beyond in the line of duty continues to be the backbone of our mission in keeping the city of Los Santos safe.

Throughout the month of May, the Bureau has been actively engaged in numerous deployments, comprehensive training sessions, and demanding field exercises. I am proud to report that every operation and training event was executed with excellence. Each one has not only met expectations but raised the standard for what we know we are capable of achieving. Your commitment to growth, precision, and teamwork does not go unnoticed.

It’s also my great pleasure to welcome back our newly reinstated members. Your return strengthens the team and brings valuable experience that we look forward to building upon. Whether you're returning or continuing to grow within our ranks, know that your role is integral to our continued success.

A special acknowledgment goes to our probationary members. Watching you all progress and integrate so seamlessly into our operations has been nothing short of impressive. Your drive to learn, adapt, and perform under pressure speaks volumes about your potential and your future within the Bureau.

Let's continue to improve and work on our special tactics and teamwork.

Neighborhood Safe.

Thank you,

— Commander Daniel Cano
Area Commander of the Special Operations Division

FACTION SPOTLIGHT

Thank you for sticking with us and scrolling all the way to the bottom once again, as another month passes, it's time to take a breath, reflect, and celebrate everything we’ve become, not just internally, but in the eyes of a wider community.

Where people are still finding their rhythm, we’ve already set the beat, our faction has not only kept its momentum, it’s accelerated. Every member who clocked in, stepped up, and represented our badge with integrity has played a role in something bigger. We’ve become a recognized and respected pillar in the server’s ecosystem. Players seek us out. Scenes with us get praised, and the standard we hold has turned heads. Special thanks go to those of you who’ve gone above and beyond by contributing exceptional screenshots to our faction thread. Your efforts have not only captured the spirit of what we do but have brought the eyes of the entire community down on us, this by showcasing our standards and traditions in every frame. This constant stream of quality visual content has helped place our faction image at the top, and it played a major role in shaping how we're seen from the outside.

Moving further, we'd like to give a heartfelt thank you to the community for continuously placing your trust in us. Your support, whether through engagement, feedback, or collaboration, all these drives us forward and fuels our passion to deliver the best experience possible. We also extend our appreciation to all illegal factions and criminal roleplayers who challenge us in the field, contribute to immersive storytelling, and help elevate the roleplay standard across the board. We see you, we appreciate you, and we look forward to what’s next.

We’ve moved beyond promises, this month has proven we’re a faction that delivers.

Whether it’s our continued presence on the streets, the quality of our engagements, or the sheer consistency of our updates and participation, we’ve kept pushing the bar higher. And that effort hasn’t gone unnoticed. Internally, we’ve maintained a healthy, motivated environment. Externally, we’ve grown a reputation: professional, reliable, immersive.

So where do we stand right now? Let’s take a look at the pulse of the faction:

  • FACTION ACTIVITY
TOTAL FACTION MEMBERSHIP COUNT: 109 members
TOTAL ACTIVITY HOURS PER DAY: 82.72 hours/day
AVERAGE FACTION ACTIVITY: 5.513hours/day per member

Leading by example, here are this month's top performing members:
  • 1. Sergeant (P) Carlos Tejero – 5.223 hrs/day
    2. Deputy Sheriff Finn Oakley – 5.037 hrs/day
    3. Lieutenant Douglas Grant – 4.355 hrs/day
    4. Deputy Sheriff Ian Wahl– 3.469 hrs/day
    5. Deputy Sheriff Marcus Schafer – 3.026 hrs/day

Compared to last month, the numbers speak for themselves, we've seen steady growth in both activity and consistency. Our previous statistics now serve as a benchmark we’ve confidently surpassed. We would like to sincerely thank everyone for this astonishing activity and being ahead of the pack with this unusual hours average activity.

Our previous month:

Connor Hackett wrote: 02 May 2025, 20:05
  • FACTION ACTIVITY
TOTAL FACTION MEMBERSHIP COUNT: 66 members
TOTAL ACTIVITY HOURS PER DAY: 41.77 hours/day
AVERAGE FACTION ACTIVITY: 2.633 hours/day per member

We’ve proven that progress isn’t just possible. It’s inevitable when driven by purpose. Keep pushing, keep showing up, and let’s make next month an even greater reflection of what we’re capable of.

With our standards climbing, we’ve also stayed sharp by evolving policies and keeping the foundation clean and effective. Here are the latest directives shaping our direction:

We’ve shown what happens when activity and quality collide: you get something people want to be a part of. So thank you to every deputy, sergeant, team lead, and silent workhorse behind the scenes. Your work matters. Your presence matters. And you’ve helped transform this faction into something more than just another group on the roster.

Let this be your reminder: you’re part of a growing legacy. A standard. A team with grit. This isn’t about numbers on a screen, it’s about pride in being a part of it, the roleplay we offer, and the way we carry ourselves across every channel.

We’re setting a tone. And people are listening.

With that, we wrap up this month’s insight. But we’re not slowing down, far from it. Eyes forward, boots on the ground, and let’s carry this energy into another month of wins, impact, and growth.

Here’s to what’s ahead, welcome summer.
