REINSTATEMENT INFORMATION
Former employees of the Los Santos County Sheriff's Department are entitled to request a reinstatement to the Los Santos County Sheriff's Department.
The outcome of reinstatement requests of former employees of the Los Santos County Sheriff's Department depends on their past in the department, the length of their absence, the rank they have had before leaving and in some cases events that have occured in the time of their absence, e.g. problems between them and law enforcement, law violatons, etc.
In some cases requesters may be asked to attend an interview with a member of our Command or Executive Staff before getting a result. See below for requirements and additional information on reinstatements.

FORMER LSSD EMPLOYEES
Reinstatement applicants will usually receive a rank drop. Many factors apply to the rank you receive when you attempt to reinstate: length of absence, last rank held, disciplinary record, and so on.
For exceptionally low ranks, a former employee may be asked to attend some or all parts of the department's Academy program before rejoining. In some cases former employees are asked to attend an Academy training session before being reinstated in order to bring them up to date with new procedures.
A reinstatement may only be requested if the person has not been an employee of the Los Santos County Sheriff's Department for a period of at least twenty eight (28) days unless permission to apply sooner was granted by Executive Staff.
A reinstatement may be requested by former Los Santos County Sheriff's Department employees who have been discharged from the department.

(( Out of Character Guidelines ))
Members who have been discharged for inactivity from the LSSD may still apply for a reinstatement, but a similar rank may only be offered within a reasonable timespan.
Members who have not been in either LSPD or LSSD in the past two years may expect to be directed to go through the recruitment process or the trainee program, considering the large amount of changes in the faction and the server that have taken place.
Members of any faction who have been terminated may apply for the LSSD while detailing the reasons of their termination. They shall always remain respectful to their previous faction(s), and in the case of a termination, they must provide reasons as to why they should be allowed to join this faction.
A sufficient amount of effort is expected for all applications. Factors that increase the expectancy for effort/reasoning to be allowed in the faction include but are not limited to: having been kicked from a faction, having a bad community image, having a bad admin record, inactivity on the server, and so on.
Members who have been using the same character for many years may be required to use a new name, as it would be odd for no aging or rank progression to occur after all this time, as well as that they would conflict with the old era of law enforcement (high speed cruisers, etc.) and the new one, which would lead to issues in portrayal.
Impersonating policy: People who try to steal previous faction members' identities for the purpose of joining the faction will be faction banned permanently.
In the instance you were terminated out-of-character and/or you received a faction ban from the Los Santos Police Department you should note that:

- For further clarification, a forum ban on the Los Santos Police Department forums does translate to a faction ban from the Los Santos Police Department.
- Executive and Command Staff will review the reason(s) of your termination and a discussion will take place. The outcome of your request will then be decided.
