Disqualification

There are very few automatic bases for rejection. Even issues of prior misconduct, such as prior illegal drug use, driving under the influence, theft, or even arrest or conviction are usually not, in and of themselves, automatically disqualifying. However, deliberate misstatements or omissions can and often will result in your application being rejected, regardless of the nature or reason for the misstatements/omissions. In fact, the number one reason individuals “fail” background investigations is because they deliberately withhold or misrepresent job-relevant information from their prospective employer.

BOTTOM LINE: You are responsible for providing complete, accurate, and truthful responses.

George Henry isn’t some larger-than-life hero he’s just a guy from Jefferson trying to figure things out. At 27, he’s had his share of false starts, hard lessons, and moments where life shoved him in a direction he never expected.

Growing up in Los Santos, George was your average kid glued to video games, kicking around with friends, and daydreaming instead of studying. His dad ran a small workshop, and after high school, George gave it a shot. But grease-stained hands and engine parts? Not his thing. He walked away, no drama, just the quiet realization that he needed something else.

Losing his dad wrecked him. Overnight, his mom a high school teacher was drowning in bills, so they packed up and moved to Vinewood. George didn’t overthink it; he grabbed the first job he could find, ringing up groceries at a corner store. It wasn’t glamorous, but it kept the lights on.

The cops well, the Deputies were always around his neighborhood growing up. Not in a bad way. They’d chat with folks, crack jokes with kids, and somehow, their presence felt solid. Like they had a purpose. George admired that. He wasn’t the type to gush about role models, but something about the way they carried themselves stuck with him.

College wasn’t happening. But when the LSSD set up booths at career fairs, he’d linger, eyeing the badges and uniforms. A dumb fantasy, he told himself. Still, the idea never quite left him.

He hustled tried drop shipping, even made enough to move into a shoebox apartment in Vespucci. But staring at spreadsheets at 2 AM Soul-crushing. Then came the driving instructor gig. It was steady, and he liked teaching people, but it wasn’t enough.

The weight of it choked him. His paycheck wasn’t gonna cut it. And then snap a memory hit. Back at the grocery store, two Deputies had strolled in. One peeled off a wad of cash for a soda, laughing like he hadn’t a care in the world. It wasn’t just the money (though, hell, that didn’t hurt). It was the way the guy stood like he owned the room without trying. Like he mattered.

George wasn’t naive. He knew the job wasn’t just fat paychecks and cool sunglasses. But for the first time, he let himself want it not just for the stability, but for the chance to be part of something that meant something. To protect the streets that raised him. To be the kind of person folks looked at and thought, Yeah, he’s got it together.

Now? He’s grinding. Hits the gym when he can, curses his own impatience, and fights the doubt that whispers he’s not cut out for it. But he’s all in. No backup plans.

Because sometimes, the thing you’ve been circling your whole life? It’s time to grab it.
